Community & HOA Hurricane Protection Programs

CHPXL partners with master-planned and 55+ communities to protect lanais, glass walls, garages, and front entries from wind-swept flooding and pressure-driven failures.

From Lakewood Ranch to surrounding neighborhoods, we help boards, ARCs, and property managers choose hurricane protection that fits the architecture, HOA guidelines, and the needs of aging-in-place residents.

Why Communities Choose CHPXL

Gated and age-targeted communities face a unique mix of risk and responsibility. Large lanais, expansive glass, and outdoor living rooms are central to the lifestyle— but they also create wide, exposed openings that can admit wind-swept water and dangerous interior pressures during a hurricane.

CHPXL provides engineered, tested solutions such as SuperMax, EZMax, and SolarMax, combined with consistent, HOA-friendly appearance and professional installation. Our goal is simple: give residents real protection without compromising the look and character of the community.

  • Category 5–oriented systems with documented impact testing
  • Options suitable for lanais, sliders, garages, and front entries
  • HOA / ARC submittal support with drawings and product data
  • Programs for 55+ and aging-in-place residents who may not evacuate
  • Factory-direct manufacturing and installation from a company in business since 2005

How a Community Program Works

Every community is different, but our approach is straightforward and board-friendly:

  1. Walk-through & risk review – We meet with board or committee members to review typical lanais, front entries, and problem exposures.
  2. Product fit & appearance – We recommend combinations of SuperMax, EZMax, and SolarMax that match the architecture and HOA standards.
  3. ARC / HOA package – We provide a product packet for approvals: photos, color options, and typical installation details.
  4. Homeowner education – Optional workshops or on-site days so residents can see products and ask questions.
  5. Program pricing – When appropriate, we can offer structured pricing or phased installation options for residents.

Many boards appreciate having a single, documented solution they can reference when owners ask about hurricane protection.

Support for Boards, ARCs, and Property Managers

Storm protection is more than a homeowner preference—it’s increasingly treated as a matter of responsibility. With higher deductibles, complex policies, and more claim denials, communities are under pressure to show they considered practical measures to limit avoidable damage.

CHPXL can provide documentation, product data sheets, and test results to support your internal guidelines. We are available to answer questions from committees, managers, and residents before decisions are made.

Designed for 55+ & Aging-in-Place Residents

Many residents in 55+ and active adult communities plan to stay through the storm rather than evacuate. That makes it critical that hurricane protection be:

  • Easy to deploy – no heavy panels or ladders
  • Consistent in appearance – acceptable to the HOA
  • Documented – with real test data and performance history

SuperMax, EZMax, and SolarMax systems were selected and engineered with these realities in mind.
